I am interested in freshwater conservation in the Great Lakes Basin. Specifically, what factors are important in selecting areas to implement freshwater protected areas and the socio-political elements that influence conservation of aquatic organisms.
I am also interested in water quality issues impacting freshwater lakes and rivers. The title of my masters thesis (which was successfully defended):
Investigation of Bacterial Fecal Indicators and Coliphage Virus in Sediment and Surface Water of Parks and Beaches along the Grand River (MI) and Lake Michigan (MI)
